New Vibration Mount Catalog V100 from AAC Features over 1,270 off-the-shelf Shock and Vibration Damping Components

Finding the right vibration mounts for your application has become easier with the publication of a new 240-page catalog "Shock and Vibration Damping Components, V100" by Advanced Antivibration Components (AAC). Among the 1,270 components in this catalog are base mounts, suspension mounts, bushings, channel mounts, pads and bumpers in a wide range of materials such as stainless steel mesh and springs, silicone gel, neoprene rubber and Sorbothane®. Many are suitable for use in extreme environmental conditions.


This catalog also features, beyond the conventional vibration eliminating components, shock absorbers and over 300 shaft couplings capable of elimination or reduction of shock and vibration from shaft to shaft.

All are available from stock for immediate delivery. In addition to the listed stock items, tooling is available for many types and sizes of cylindrical vibration mounts with inch or metric size studs.

The catalog also includes two extensive technical sections. Vibration and Shock Isolation which covers many topics such as: Fundamentals of Vibration and Shock, Definitions and Concepts, Vibration Isolation Analysis and Design Problems. Features Constant Natural Frequency Mounts (CNF Type)

These new patented mounts automatically adjust their stiffness in response to load! Using conventional constant stiffness isolating mounts requires determining the position of the center of gravity, complex calculations and use of different mounts for the same machine, potentially resulting in poor isolation quality. CNF UNILOAD^TM mounts can be used without any calibration for a wide range of loads.

The catalog includes both inch and metric sizes as well as quantity pricing for these mounts which are all available from stock for immediate delivery. These mounts, identified as the V10Z24 Series, are stocked in models for both nonimpact and heavier impact uses. Applications include but not limited to lathes, printing, grinding and crushing machines.

Machines frequently have an unequal weight distribution as well as rotating or reciprocating heavy parts.  Typically, vibration isolators have constant stiffness; i.e., the force vs. deflection curve is a straight line, which results in disruption of performance of vibration isolation. However, the UNILOAD^® mounts incorporate embedded internal gaps and supports which increase their stiffness proportionally with the applied load. Therefore, the UNILOAD^TM mounts natural frequencies  will remain constant regardless of  the changes in the load, while not requiring any calculations (such as C.G. position, weight distribution between mounts, etc).
